I have Mr. Erickson for Algebra; he is a really awesome teacher. I had to take a test in order to get into his class, and I was one of the ones that had passed. For homework, every night, we a required to watch a video. We do this in order to get ahead for the next day. This also helps for us to get more time to work with our groups and ask questions. All in all, Algebra is a fun class.
Videos of the 2nd Semester Since, we do videos for homework, I thought that I should show you one of our current lessons. Usually, Mr. Erickson, Mr. Pearson, and Miss Dineen switch off, so Mr. Pearson just happened to be presenting this lesson.
These videos help me and the other students a lot. They help us be able to do the class work in CLASS and get the helpe we need from our teachers the next day if we do not understand the concept. All in all, they help us tremendously. |
Computer Programming Project

This is part of the flowchart that my group in Algebra did. We had to do this flowchart, in order to show what we did with the computer program called "Scratch".
This is not the whole flowchart, however. The whole point of the flowchart was to show what we did that worked, and the things that did not work.
My group was able to do this very easily. We had JJ that did the computer programming, Malaena did the history, and I did the flowchart. JJ was a great help; he is very good at computers, so he helped Malaena and me with our parts of the project.
We used Google Docs for this project. Ever since Mr. Kimbley showed us how to use Google Docs, none of us have not used it since. It was much easier with the help of Google Docs because we were able to share all of our parts of the project with eachother. With that, we were able to comment and chat about what we needed to fix, remove, etc.
This project helped me learn not only about how to teach a computer to solve math equations and expressions, but it also allowed me to learn more about computers. If you haven't used Google Docs yet, I would recommend you start using it. Trust me, it will make your life a lot easier.
