My Thoughts: Why the Sky is Blue. . .

     Okay, so today I am going to try and explain why the sky is blue.  Now, I wasn't allowed to do any research, so if it doesn't make any sense, sorry.  FYI, this information is not factual, so don't believe every word I say. 
     Well, to start off, I think the sky is not really blue, but that it appears blue to us.  There are several reasons why.  First of all, I think that the sky contains blue light rays, which makes it appear blue to us.  One reason that I thought of this, is because scientists have stated that the grass appears green to us because of the green light rays that are in the grass, and that is why it looks green to us.  There are a lot more reasons, but that is all the time I have for today.  Maybe you should look up later why the sky is actually blue.  Then, come back and comment on my post to give me feedback on if I was right or wrong, or even close to the actual reason(s).

Temperate Plant Fossils Found in Antarctica

     Why are there Temperate Plant fossils found in Antarctica?  Well, there are many reasons as to why they are found there.  You may be thinking, "how are they found in Antarctica if it's below freezing down there?"  
     Many scientists have thought that the continents were all once a super-continent called Pangaea; of course, they have proven this theory.  Now, some scientists have found plant fossils in Antarctica.  Many have found plant fossils in temperate or tropical area; they believe they are able to support the growth of enough plants to produce a bed of coal.

Zoo Project

     This quarter, for computers and science, we are working on a zoo project.  Yes, I know.  Some of you are thinking that this is really cool, but others are saying, "Really?! A zoo project?!"  It is actually going better than I thought it would.  I think that we will do a pretty good job and have fun.
     For this project, my group got the Desert Rosy Boa.  There are 4 parts for each animal.  I got stuck with the reproduction part.  Now, the reproduction part for our animal is difficult because there weren't many categories that fit our animal.  That's just the luck of it though.  However, I was able to find a lot of information for the categories that did fit the Desert Rosy Boa.  All in all, I think that we are going to do a good job and have fun along with it!

The Greatest Discovery Ever!

     What is the greatest Scientific discovery, in my opinion?  Well, that's a good question!  Honestly, I think that the greatest discovery is DNA.  Why?  Well, first of all, without the discovery of DNA, we wouldn't know half of the things we know today.  Why is that?  As you probably know, DNA is everywhere!  It's in you body, plants, structures, etc.  If we didn't find out about DNA, we would not have as many great inventions as we do today.
     Now, all of this is great, but who do we thank for what we have succeeded with the DNA discovery?  Rosalind Franklin, of course!  Now there are other people that certainly helped with the discovery, but she helped a tremendous amount, and was eventually acknowledged for her amazing hours she put in to figure out the structure of DNA.
