On Monday,  the lady tigers basketball team played against Baird.  Varsity beat them, but JV lost in a close game 8-7.  On Tuesday, I had a swim meet at Alta Sierra.  We did pretty good overall, considering it was our first meet of the season.  On Wednesday, in basketball, we had a game against Scandanavian.  We won 43-17.  We played really well and so did the 8th graders as they pulled out another win.
Yesterday, I had another swim meet at Kastner.  The girls did really well, but their boys were just to fast compared to our boys' team.  Although their boys were a lot faster, our boys relay team smoked the Kastner team.  All in all, I had a very busy, but fun week.

On Monday, the Lady Tigers here at Computech beat Awahnee's basketball team.  Both teams won their games.  In the first quarter we weren't doing so well, but after the half-time "talk" with Sykes, the other girls started to pick up their game.
We did really well in the second half of the game.  We scored a lot of shots and missed a lot, but that is all apart of the game.  Next week, we play against Baird and Scandanavian.  If you have time, come watch and support us on Wednesday at our home game!

On  Wednesday, we went to play Tenaya Middle School.  As you may know, they are our rivals in basketball!  They are always the 2nd best in the district, we are the 1st.  It's always a close game, but we usually pull out a win.  However, this time it was different.  The 8th grade girls lost while the 7th grade girls lost in overtime.  -.- We just didn't play like we normally do.
Most of the time we are good at running our plays, but during this game, we rushed and didn't set up like we should have.  Usually, we set up a really good offense that helps us because it is unexpected, but it just never got set up.  We had a lead the whole entire game until the last 4 SECONDS when they scored and tied it up.  It was unbelievable because several girls just gave up.  In a close game like this one you can't give up or else, once you do, you have already lost.  Anyways, our next game is Monday, here against Awahnee.  Come support the Lady Tigers! :)

On Wednesday February 13th, we beat Wawona Middle School 33-4.  It was a total blowout.  I was actually surprised that they were not that good because usually they are a decent team.  I guess they just didn't have as much experience as us, but anyway we played an okay game.  The reffs weren't very good, however.  Otherwise, we would have won by a lot more.
I am super excited for next week's game because we are playing Tenaya, who are usually a pretty good team.  I can't wait because all the teams we have played so far haven't been very good, but it is still good game experience for our team.  Our 8th grade girls are doing very well, their record is 3-1.  The game they lost to Ft. Miller was a really good game, but the girls just didn't play together.  So, they ended up losing 20-21.  Our next game is February 20th against Tenaya, at Tenaya.

On Wednesday, the Lady Tigers had their first basketball game of the season.  We actually did pretty well considering that we have only been practicing together for two weeks, including this week.  We did really well and worked together.  We played against Kings Canyon, and since my elementary school, Easterby, is just down the street, their basketball team came and cheered for me.  They had made signs for me and everything!
We won 18-11, and the 8th grade girls beat them 14-7.  YES! We DID score more points than the 8th graders.  Coach Sykes was stoked because we played really well, and scored more than the 8th grade team.  I am really excited for our next game, and the season to come!  I can already tell, we are going to do an AWESOME job this year.

This week, we have been working in Ribbon Hero 2.  I personally think that Ribbon Hero 2 is better.  I know, you may think well why do you think it's better?  Yes, I know, it is a game, but I think that more people were intrigued with the game.  I also think that it gave you more information and helped you learn a lot more than the tutorials.
I also think that Ribbon Hero 2 was better because it challenged you.  Plus, when life comes knocking on your door, you are not going to have time to watch a bunch of tutorials.

This Sunday we have another water polo tournament.  I am playing on the 14s and 16s team. :)  And, we are actually hosting this tournament.  I cannot wait because we did really really well in our last tournament at Clovis North.  Coach Thompson is coaching us again, and I can't wait because she is an AWESOME COACH!
We play the very first game...as usual. :( and have several more throughout the day.  We have a really good group of girls this year, and most of them are older, but the ones that are younger are still amazing water polo players, especially for their age and experience.  There are several seniors, and the rest are juniors and sophomores.  Then, there are Keely and Caroline who are freshman.  Hannah and Maddie are the only 8th graders, and Hailey, Georgia, and I are the three 7th graders.  There are also 2 younger girls, but they are decent players considering their age.

So, it is finally Friday!  I am super excited and cannot wait for tomorrow because we have our first winter polo tournament!  I am stoked.  I am playing on the 16s since it is only a 16 & 18s tournament.  I can't wait because we are sooooo much better than the summer team.
The tournament is at Clovis North, and they have a really good complex that is BRAND NEW!  It is supposedly an Olympic-size complex.  The team this year has a few new people, but they are all beasts.  I can't wait for the tournament!  And to make this weekend even better, IT'S A THREE-DAY WEEKEND! :D  So, wish me luck this weekend.  ;)

Yesterday, Thursday, December 20th, we had a school dance.  It was sooo fun!  I went with my friends and had a blast.  We even did the "Snowball" dance!  Anyways, it was awesome, and we all had a lot of fun.  Let me tell you why we had so much fun. ;)
To start off, I went with Duncan, Hailey, Zoee, Robbie, Niko, Maddie, Brigham, Adam, and Megan.  We are a VERY crazy group of people.  Anyways, we all danced like maniacs yesterday.  There is this joke with the water polo team about me being a hillbilly since I live in the foothills, and when the played a country song, I danced with Niko because we were the only two who knew the dance.  So, I already know that we will be teased about that for the rest of our lives by our friends and the water polo team. xD  However, that's alright because we had a good time.
Also, I am very excited because today is our last day of school.  I cannot wait 'til Christmas.  Well, that's all the time I have so...........MERRY CHRISTMAS AND HAPPY NEW YEAR!  Enjoy your vacation. :D

Today we are playing world cuppies again in P.E.  I am soooo excited!! Okay well last time I wrote about world cuppies I didn't really explain the game.  First off, I am just going to say....
IT'S THE BEST GAME EVER!!!!  Okay now that I got that out of my system, let me describe the game.
Here is how it works: first, you need ONE partner.  You want to make sure you pick a really GOOD partner.  Second off, the object of the game is for you and your partner to make a goal ASAP!  You can do this by making a dry pass from one partner to the other, then you shoot and if it's a goal you make it to the next round.  The last group that is left, and that HASN'T made a goal, is out.  From then on, you just keep that going until there are ONLY two groups left.  That is the championship game/round.  Usually, the championship round lasts the longest.  And the first group to score WINS THE GAME!
The BEST part about the game is that there is only one rule: THERE ARE NO RULES! Today I am going to be partners with Niko.  And I cannot wait to get started in world cuppies in 8th period!!  Well that's all I have time for today.
