On Wednesday, we had our first winter polo practice.  I was super excited because club polo is the best.  Hannah, Catherine, Hailey and I all went with Dyer to Sunnyside.  This was because if we took the bus, we wouldn't have made it to practice on time.  So, when we got there, they were only a few girls, but eventually more showed up.
After we got in, Dyer introduced himself and gave the speech he gives every season.  He then mentioned that we would be running practice the way we ran it here at Computech.  This made me super excited because I LOVE the way we do practice here.

Yesterday, we FINALLY got to play world cuppies!  I was so excited because it is a really fun game.  My partner was Hailey, and we were bomb diggity!  We didn't finish the game because there wasn't enough time, but we still got to play so that's the best part.  The game is really 100 times worse than it was yesterday. There is mainly one rule: there are no rules.  However, we had to set some rules because Maddie uses certain things to win, but Dyer didn't want her hurting any of the newbies.
He had to set rules such as: NO biting, NO kicking, NO punching, and NO choking.  These were mainly set for Maddie though.  In the game, you a required to have one partner which in my case was Hailey.  Then the object of the game is to make a dry pass to your partner, then you or your partner shoots and if you make it, you guys go on to the next round.

This year at Computech, we had a great water polo season.  We have improved so much from last year; last year we didn't even win a game!  However, this year was very different.  There are so many improvements that have been made, I can't even name them all.  We are also still DISTRICT CHAMPIONS!
At the beginning of the season, we did very very well; we won our very first game too.  Then, we played more difficult teams.  Although they were good, we hung right in there with them and never gave up.  Also, we competed strongly with each and every team.  The boys also did very well this year.  There were many good players, but several players stood out tremendously.  Those players were Hailey, Zoee, Maddie, Georgia, Anthony P., Robbie, Joe, Micah, and Niko.

Tomorow on November 2nd, we have the district water polo tournament; and I am super excited.  I can't wait to get there.  We have improved so much this year, and I cannot wait to see how  well we do.  Ihave a feeling that we are going to do very well tomorrow.  Come support us if you would like; for it would mean a lot to the players on the water polo team.
The tournament is at Fresno High, and our first game is at 8:00 A.M., but we have to be there at 7:15 in order to warm up.  Our first game is going to be against Cooper Middle School.  They are a new team so we do not know anything about them.  Every single team that will be at the tournament is a new water polo team this year, except for us.  This is because Computech was the first middle school in Fresno Unified to start an aquatics program.  The program includes water polo and the swim team.  Anyways, I cannot wait until tomorrow.

We actually have not played this game yet; it is this afternoon at 4:30.  The boys play at 3:30.  For this game, we have to combine the two team for the boys and girls because Central only has one team of girls and one boys team.  I am very excited, yet I'm still nervous because the teams have to be combined.
We actually played them in the Central tournament.  We played very very well.  However, things have changed since the tournament when we played them.  Also, we will be adding even more girls in this game.  We have improved a lot though, since that Saturday.  Even though we are combining the teams, we still better win and play as a team.  Otherwise, Hailey and I will both be very very mad; and so will Dyer.  That is not good if he is mad because he tends to get out of control when he is mad.  All in all, we better win!

This week we played Sanger again.  Last time, we had lost 10-8; but this time we lost 11-9.  We played really well.  The B team girls and 8th grade boys also lost.  However, the 7th grade boys won.  We all played hard and kept it difficult for them to win.  All in all, we did pretty good.
During the first quarter, I had 2 ejections within the first three minutes of the game.  I know, that's pretty bad.  In the second quarter, I didn't get to go in because with two ejecftions, we knew they would easily be trying to get me ejected a third time.  We stayed up though, 3-0.
In the third quarter, I finally got to back in.  I had several assists to Zoee and Hailey.  However, that's when Sanger started to come back.  At the end of the third, we were tied 5-5.  In the fourth quarter  we allowed Sanger to go ahead 8-6, at the beginning   I scored the two goals that tied us up again.  Because of this, we had to go into overtime.  We should've gone to sudden death, but their coach said no.  Their coach knows that we have more shooters than they do, so we had to do two three minutes quarters.  We still played really well throughout the rest of the game.  Although we lost, we still did amazing, and we NEVER gave up.  We kept fighting throughout the whole g

On October 9th, we played in water polo vs. Clark.  We could've and should've done a lot better, but life is life.  It's done with, and we just have to move passed it and get on with our lives.  Anyway, both boys teams and the girls B team lost.  The boys, however, did really well.     In our game, we lost 19-6.  Personally, I did not play my best, but I hadn't played in a game for 3 weeks because of my thumb injury.  We, as a team, didn't play that well either; we could've played much better.  We had way too many turnovers, which hurt us tremendously, as you can see.  Hailey had 4 goals, Zoee and Maddie both had 1 goal.  I was very upset near the end of the 3rd quarter because it seemed that several of the younger girls just gave up as soon as we were down by 7 goals.  However, before the game even started, several of the girls just seemed to not want to be there.  Oh well though, there is nothing that Hailey, Maddie, Zoee, or I could've done to change that.  The game is over; and we have to continue to work on our skills, team chemistry, adn most of all, just picking eachother up when we make a mistake.
The 8th grade boys came back amazingly in the 4th quarter.  Throughout the whole game, they had been struggling.  In my opinion, they just were getting rid of the ball too quickly, and this caused several turnovers and goals.  The 7th grade boys also did very well.  They played the best out of the four teams that we have here at Computech.  They had several good plays, which lead to goals.  They also didn't have as many turnovers as the 8th grade boys team and our team.  All in all, they had a pretty good turn out.

A few weeks ago I had jammed my thumb, but when I went to get it x-rayed, they couldn't tell if it was broken or not.  I was so worried and most of all mad!  Without the results, I would have to be in a soft cast, and that meant I couldn't play in the water polo game that was coming up.  I was really mad, and so was everyone else.  We didn't hear the results until the three days later, which made me even more mad.  I found out that it wasn't broken, but I was still mad because that meant I could've played in the game vs. Alta Sierra, which we had lost.
I was so excited to get back into the pool; it had been five days since I had swam.  Everyone was happy to see me back in the pool, and I was happy to be there. I can't wait until our game against Clark!  I hope you come see us play!

On Tuesday, Sempetember 25th, it was Hailey's birthday.  It was also our game against Alta Sierra in water polo.  We ended up losing 8-7, but the girls played really well.  Especially since I wasn't able to play because of my thumb; they all stepped up in the game and played their best.  There wasn't anything more that they could've done besides win, but that's all right.  Several girls had to play more than usual and just weren't use to playing that long, so they got tired quickley.  I wish I could've played, but I wasn't allowed to; and that's just how life goes sometimes.  You may not always get to do what you want, and that's okay.  Our next game is on October 9th.  COME SUPPORT YOUR COMPUTECH TIGERS!!

This week on Septempber 18th, we played WAMS (Sanger) in water polo.  Our JV boys won, but the Varsity boys, Varsity girls, and JV girls all lost.  I'm on the Varsity girls team, and I had 5 goals while Zoee had the other 3 goals.  We lost 10-8, but played really well.  We just started out flat and that's what hurt us.  Sanger has a decent team, but I know that the girls on our team know how to play and if we had started out better, i know in my heart that we would've won.  Not only did we start out flat, Sanger also scored 5 goals in the first quarter.  If we had started out better they would've never got those goals, and we would've won.  It is sad that this was our first loss of the season, but in the long run it will help us become a better team.  I know that it sounds crazy, but it's true and we all know it.  Anyways, our next game is on September 25th against and at Alta Sierra.  Come out and support your COMPUTECH TIGERS!
